Javier Peciña

My mother is from Cordovín and my father from San Vicente. Both come from farming families. FECO grew from those roots and a question: how can we keep caring for vineyards that yield little but give us grapes worth working for?

I started with Hornillo and San Juan. I was saddened by the idea that their harvest would be blended away and that keeping them might no longer make sense. Vinifying them separately was my way of finding them a future.

There is curiosity and passion too: experimenting, learning and discovering what changes between plots and vintages. I do not want oak to be the first thing a wine expresses. I want it to accompany the wine and let the place speak.

FECO is based in San Vicente, but its roots also reach Cordovín. These are my family's vineyards, and this is the way I have chosen to continue their story.
