Hornillo
Hornillo is part of FECO's beginnings. Its grapes helped inspire a different approach: vinifying each plot separately to recognise its quality and keep farming it.
At 530 metres, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria, Tempranillo grows alongside Viura and less widely planted Rioja varieties. This coexistence and its connection to the family's vineyards in San Vicente are worth preserving, rather than judging the plot solely by its yield.

The wine from this vineyard
FECO Hornillo
Hornillo has structure, but its polished, silky tannins bring strength with delicacy. A character rooted in San Vicente, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria.
A wine for long lunches: substantial meals, gatherings worth taking time over and conversations that continue after the plates are cleared. It has presence without overwhelming the moment.
